This is an extra service that is not available per standard.
Onslip has support for single function vouchers, multiple function vouchers and coupon vouchers such as lunch coupons.
To create these, begin in Backoffice.
Go to Loyalty -> Vouchers.
Choose instructions below for gift cards or coupon vouchers:
Gift Cards
Click New Gift Card Type.
Enter a Name for the gift card.
Three things will be automatically created for you in this process:
- One product group
- One product (the gift card itself)
- One payment method (to receive the gift cards)
The system will automatically name these things, using the name you have entered. If you want full control over what the product group, product and payment method are called, click the pen to unlock the fields.
When you are satisfied, click Next - Accounting.
First choose a VAT rate, if you intend for the gift card to only be used for specific VAT rates. - NOTE! There is a difference between No VAT rate and 0 % VAT. No VAT rate means that VAT will be applied when the gift card is used, and this means the gift card can be used to purchase anything. 0 % VAT means the gift card can only be used to buy products with 0 % VAT.
Next pick an account. This account will be used when the gift card is sold and when it is used.
Also choose a VAT account if the gift card is locked to a VAT rate.
Lastly choose a discount account for discounting of the gift card.
When you are satisfied, click Next - Details.
Per standard the gift card will have open pricing, that means the cashier will be able to enter the balance directly in the cash register. If you want the gift card to have a predetermined balance, uncheck the box and enter a sales price.
Enter a period of validity as well.
When you are satisfied, click Next - Summary.
You will now see a list of everything that will be created in the system. If everything looks good, click Create.
Now that everything is created you can continue to make a button to sell the gift card, and you can also make a button for quick pay in the cash register if you want to.
Coupon Voucher
Click New Coupon Type.
Enter a Name for the coupon voucher.
Four things will be automatically created for you in this process:
- One product group
- Two products (the voucher itself and its coupon)
- One promotion (which will discount the chosen products when the coupon is turned in)
The system will automatically name these things, using the name you have entered. If you want full control over what the product group, products and promotion are called, click the pen to unlock the fields.
When you are satisfied, click Next - Accounting.
First choose the VAT rate for the coupon voucher.
Next pick an account. This account will be used when the gift card is sold and when it is used.
Also choose a VAT account.
Lastly choose a discount account for discounting of the coupon voucher.
When you are satisfied, click Next - Details.
Enter a sales price for the whole coupon voucher.
Also enter how many coupons the voucher should include
Then enter a period of validity for the coupon voucher.
Then choose what products a voucher can be exchanged for. In this example the product is our ordinary lunch product. (Savings is divided per purchase and not total.)
When you are satisfied, click Next - Summary.
You will now see a list of everything that will be created in the system. If everything looks good, click Create.
Now that everything is created you can continue to make a button to sell the coupon voucher.
