A connected payment terminal means that the cash register and the card terminal communicate directly with each other, and you don't have to type the amount in manually into the card terminal.
If you have a Bambora-terminal you can find specific instructions here. Instructions that follow below are only relevant for older S80 model card terminals.
First make sure your card terminal is integrated. Press MENU. Enter Settings via F3, System at F3 and lastly Onslip 360 with F4. Enter your merchant password and make sure it says Integrated. If it does not, press F2 until it does. Press ENTER to save. Then press CANCEL to return to the New customer screen.
Now lets go to the cash register. Start by pressing the menu button in the top left, it looks like three horizontal lines.
Press Settings further down the list.
At the top of the settings you find Customize, press that.
Furthest down in the menu it says Payment Terminal Connected. Press it and choose S80 in the list.
NOTE! If you don't see an S80 in the list, first make sure the card terminal is in the integrated mode. Instructions are at the top of this article. Then, make sure both the cash register and card terminal are connected to the same network. In a majority of cases the cash register may be connected to another WiFi-hotspot or cable connected to another router. Make sure both the cash register and card terminal are connected correctly, try logging out of the cash register, pressing F1 on the card terminal and opening Settings again.
When you've chosen S80, the card terminal is connected to your cash register!
