SNBC BTP-R880NPV
Installation
Place your printer where you want it to be. If you like, it can face the customer so they can directly take their receipt. First make sure there is a full receipt paper roll in the printer. On the top of the printer is a lever.
Pull the lever toward you and the hatch opens. Put the receipt paper roll in so that the 'tongue' goes under the roll and toward you, see the image. Then pull the paper out a bit out of the printer and close the hatch.
Put the power cable into the DC24V outlet. Look at the cable - the flat side of the connector should be turned downward. Make sure the other end is connected to the transformer. This in turn is to be connected to the wall.
If you have a cash drawer, put the cable in the CASH DRW connector on the back.
Lastly connect a network cable to the ETHERNET connector. The other end should go to your router. It is important to connect it to the same network that your device will be connected to, for them to find each other.
Make sure the POWER light is glowing green at the top of the printer. If it does not, press the power switch on the right front side and the printer will start. Make sure the printer paper is fed out when you hold the Feed button.
Configuration in the POS app
Now that the printer is connected let's configure the usage.
Go to your POS device, that is your tablet, phone or other. Go to the settings and choose Wi-Fi. Make sure the unit is connected to the same router you connected the printer to. Make sure the device does not have other connections saved so it jumps between connections.
If your device has a SIM card we recommend you turn off mobile data or remove the SIM card when you are going to use Onslip POS. If your device connects via the SIM card it will lose contact with printers and eventual card terminals.
Now open the Onslip POS app and log in. Go to Settings and choose Devices. Press the three dots in the top right and choose Refresh Services. Under the header SNBC BTP-R880NPV you will find LAN Printer.
Press the cogwheel to the right and enable Receipt Printer. If you also have a cash drawer, enable Cash Drawer at the same time. Close the box and close Devices. Your printer is now connected!
You can quickly test its function by adding a product to the tab and pressing Subtotal or Table Bill in the bottom of the tab. On a mobile phone you will find this option by pressing the three dots in the top right.
