Has your accountant asked you for an SIE file? What is that, exactly?
SIE stands for Standard Import and Export. It is built on the Swedish BAS accounting plan and is a computer file. The SIE format makes it easy to move economic information between computer programs.
For you as a business owner, the SIE format is good since you, for example, can export your end of day reports to accounting data which is needed for analysis or declaration of sales tax.
For your accountant, this means they can easily take your accounting data and feed it into an analysis program or declarations program without having to manually register your information.
To be able to download an SIE file from your Onslip cash register, your accountant needs to help you add a chart of accounts. You can begin by giving your accountant access to your Backoffice, either by sharing your login information or making a new Employee with Administrative privileges.
Once they have access to your Backoffice they can follow the instructions in the article about accounting and bookkeeping.
