Important information for ProTech POS hardware users:
ProTech is an older POS model that now requires a critical software update. Google has stopped providing updates for the Android version used by the POS. After the turn of the year, an important security certificate will expire, which will cut off the internet connection. If the update is not performed before the turn of the year, the POS app will stop working.
The update is simple and takes only about 2 minutes to complete. We recommend that you do this as soon as possible.
Here’s what to do on the POS:
- Open the browser called “WebView” directly on the POS screen.
- Go to p.onslip.com.
- Follow the brief instructions displayed on the webpage to complete the update of your device.
