If a group has ordered together but wants to split the bill, the register can easily handle the calculation for you. You don’t have to do the math manually, and the register ensures that the total is always exact.
1. Retrieve the bill from the table
Tap Retrieve at the top of the cash register.
2. Select the correct table and tap the bill you want to split (e.g., Table 8).
3. Once the bill is open, tap the Bill ⇓ button (the one with the arrow).
4. Select Split.
2. Choose how to split the bill
Now you can choose whether to split specific items (e.g., if someone wants to pay for their own main course) or split the entire bill evenly.
Option A: Split by specific items
Under Current Bill, you’ll see everything the group has ordered.
Tap the right arrow next to the items you want to move. (Each tap moves one item to the New Bill.)
When you’re satisfied with the split, tap OK.
Option B: Split the entire bill equally
Use the option at the bottom right of the screen.
Select how many parts you want to split the bill into (e.g., split among 4 people).
The register splits the amount and returns all parts except one to the table. The last part opens directly in your register.
3. Complete the payment
The items (or the portion of the amount) you chose to split off are now displayed in the register. The items you did not select have been automatically returned to the table. You can now process payment for this portion as usual.
