To ensure your kitchen workflow is as fast as possible, it’s important that communication between the POS and your kitchen printer is optimally configured. If you experience a delay in printing, it may in some cases be because the kitchen printer’s connection mode needs to be updated.
Follow these steps to optimize the connection:
- Open the menu: Tap the three lines in the top-left corner of the Onslip app.
- Navigate to Devices: Go to Settings (second from the bottom) and then select Devices (in the middle).
-
Check the connection status: Locate the line above your printer (often labeled SNBC BTP).
Technical note: If it says BONDED, the printer is temporarily locked to a specific device. For a standalone kitchen printer that is supposed to receive receipts from multiple registers, this mode should normally be inactive. The steps below clear this lock.
- Refresh the session: Click the blue gear icon to the right of the printer.
- Temporarily Disable: Turn off the option for the current function (e.g., kitchen or drinks).
-
Save the restart: Exit the Devices menu. Then re-enter Devices.
- Reactivate: Click the blue gear icon next to the printer again and enable the function to force a new, optimized network session.
- Verify: Exit the settings and run a test print to confirm the speed.
These steps reset the printer’s communication path and optimize the kitchen printer’s speed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our technical support
