Labels allow you to sort products on the order slip into groups, e.g. Starters, Main courses and Desserts. This makes it easier for kitchen staff to follow the order.
Step 1: Create a label for a product group
Start by editing the product group and creating a label.
Open the product group you want to edit.
Create a label. Give it a descriptive name, e.g. Dishes.
The category area is automatically selected for product groups – you do not need to change anything here.
2. Name the labels
Enter the name of the label, e.g. Starter, Main course or Dessert.
Click Create label.
Save the product group.
Continue with the next product group. When you create more labels, select the same category (Dishes in this example).
3. Activate labels on the receipt printer
Go to Configure → Devices.
Click Change next to your receipt printer.
4. Select labels for printing
Click the Label button.
Tick the labels you want to use as categories on the receipt printout.
Click the button again to close the box.
5. Determine the print order
Click and drag in the list to change the order of the labels.
Save the printer.
Repeat as necessary for other printers.
Done!
The receipt printout is now configured so that the products are sorted under the labels you have selected. Products without a label are automatically placed under Other. If no labels are used, the receipt is printed in alphabetical order as before.
Tip: For easier handling, put labels on product groups instead of individual products.
